COTSS-IP Annual Conference 2012
This year we will be holding our annual conference on Friday 16th - Saturday 17th March 2012 at the Hilton Milton Keynes Hotel. By attending the whole event on both days, all delegates will have a wealth of opportunity to spend time networking with colleagues and hear how others are thriving.
On Friday 16th March 2012, as with previous years, we will again be running the ‘Look before you Leap’ Seminar for any OTs who are new to Independent Practice or thinking about taking it up. The seminar will outline the opportunities, practicalities, perils and pitfalls of independent practice. Find out about insurance, marketing, charging, cash flow & business management and hear from other OTs who have made the 'leap'.
Also on the Friday, running in parallel with 'Look Before You Leap', will be the fifth Medico-Legal Forum. This day will include specialist speakers on the subjects of case law, communication skills, "Jackson: Implications for OT Experts", OTs in court, a panel discussion and much more. The Medico–Legal Forum also includes an opening session for new therapists considering entering this field.
The Annual General Meeting for COTSS-IP members will be held on the Friday evening followed by the Networking Dinner which is open to all and priced at £25.50 (GBP).
The main conference event will be the following day, Saturday 17th March 2012 and this year is based around the theme 'Risks and Rewards'. Here you will have the opportunity to attend some workshops and engage in general networking with your peers.
Accommodation is not included in the conference fees, but a special rate will be available for those wishing to stay overnight; this will need to be booked separately and details will be published here when this is confirmed.
There will be an exhibition held throughout Friday and Saturday to accompany the event with a range of exhibitors.
